I feel like Winkler could have thrown ball 4 and then get pulled without making the grounds crew spend 10 minutes fixing the mound

Against left handers he's hitting .308, so do the math and it's even worse (his results should be better but it's still just above pitching caliber vs RHP).

Wait nevermind that's not even coming with his power.
 
Jackson gets the GIDP 5u-3 then the K to clean up Winkler's mess without allowing a run. Great job.

Now, who closes this game. Jackson comes back out?? He only threw 8 pitches in 8th.

Was Jackson ready? I thought Kranitz might have told him to take a dive to buy some time for the bullpen.
