Viz gives it up in 9th, Braves had 3 hard hits, 7 Ks, and couldn't beat the Umps and replay "brotherhood" in NYC. Folty done after 106 pitches in 5th.

And it was a long night.

Viz should lose his closer spot to Minter/Winkler until he shows he has his slider again. No way he can go with one pitch... And I still have no idea why you shift on a guy then throw heat up and away.. especially after he took an inside out swing the pitch before. Maybe Viz missed. IDK..

Viz just needs to lose the closer role period. He's not a closer. Lacks the mental side completely.

This why we need a real closer with experience. We need to go hard for Kimbrel or Allen. If we are going to have a closer struggling I preferred Minter that way he can learn from his mistakes.

I went back and watched the play again. For the life of me I can not see how this is an honest mistake by the replay guys.

It's not an honest mistake. Replay is about backing up umpires. If Joe Torre coming out after the wild card game infield fly and saying it was the right call taught us anything it's that baseball doesn't care about getting it right, only about backing up their umps.

Winkler for closer. Minter is too wild and unpredictable and Viz is right on his tail in both departments.

......or maybe Gohara. He won't walk people and have great stuff and he doesn't worry about conditioning at all. Just let it loose an inning or two.

That one sucked. Honestly less irked about Viz because blown saves happen from time to time but that with the umpiring fiasco just makes it a **** game.
