Here are some projections for Camargo vs what he has actually done:
Stat BB% K% BABIP BA OBP SLG OPS
2017 Braves 4.2 % 21.2 % .419 .333 .359 .505 .864
2017 ZiPS (R) 4.5 % 19.8 % .310 .252 .288 .369 .657
2017 Steamer (R) 4.4 % 18.7 % .299 .250 .285 .349 .634
2017 Depth Charts (R) 4.4 % 19.2 % .304 .251 .287 .359 .646

All 3 projections were very close on his BB% and K%. They all pegged his BABIP to be right around .300. They all have him as a .650 OPS hitter.

Obviously his .419 BABIP is skewing his actual OPS, and when it normalizes his OPS will plummet under .700.

Snit is going with the hot hand. The problem is that he will continue to go with him until well after the hot steak ends.

David O'Brien said that Snitker has done a great job with the team -- then again, I think he was a Fredi believer as well.

I just can't tolerate Snitker's bullpen and bench usage as well as lack of late inning defensive replacements.

I'm fine with Camargo but more so if the IF was Free, BP, Swanson and Camargo.

I can somewhat understand him using this strategy since he's trying to win an extension. My problem with it is he plays kemp on 1 leg when he was absolutely horrible. If you're gonna sit guys when they slump, be consistent.

I'm a posi for sure, but not even I think we're gonna make the playoffs. The rest of this year needs to be about developing guys like Swanson, not sitting them trying to get the "3rd wildcard". If you can't tell, I hate, hate sitting Swanson

His BABIP will go down but he's been much better at the plate(lowering the K's). He hasn't completely convinced me yet but there is a possibility of him being more than just a utility guy.

I saw an article on Talking Chop about J-Cam and didn't realize he had put on 20 pounds of muscle and his exit velo was up quite a bit...still this whole sitting Dansby thing is driving me crazy, they have WAY too many IF's at the moment...if they keep Phillips only to trade Albies I'll be at a total loss for words

One of the reasons the FO gave for rebuilding was to break out of the rut of playing for 2nd Wild card instead of championships. All the rumors and moves the last few weeks seem to indicate that the 2nd wild card is the goal. I'm usually positive about the direction of the team but my confidence is getting shaky.

I hate seeing Freddie at 3rd

I hate seeing Dansby on the bench. I get that he needs to hit the reset button but let him play in AAA not ride the bench.

At least Paul Byrd makes sense... he said his best infield combo is Camargo-Swanson-BP-Freeman

Brian Jordan on the other hand....yikes - Freeman at 3B, Camargo, BP, Adams

I mean if you promote Albies now he is at least BPs equal or very close. Just trade BP, I Me and Any other non core player.

Trading Albies to try for the 2nd wildcard in this position would be one of the dumbest moves ever by an organization. Just incredibly stupid.

Only person who said that was Passan and we dont know what the offer was.

Could have been like Jim Johnson, Blair, Wisler and Albies for Q, and that would be a win in the Braves favor.
