Yea, he can pitch and isn't just a lefty specialist. He can handle a full inning, only issue I've seen is occasionally walks too many.

In Mallex defense, he was likely safe two of those out calls whereas Aybar was out easy both times tonight including a ball in the dirt where the catcher had to reach around the batter to make the throw.
