My heavens! Meneses has traveled more miles in his baseball career than an old-time Fuller Brush salesman, but he's having a helluva month-and-a-half. He just could never get it all together when he hit a ceiling in AA for the Braves, but in fairness, he's moved around quite a bit since the Braves let him go five years ago. Phillies' system, Red Sox' system, a year in Japan, winters in the Mexican Pacific League until he found his way to the Nationals' system this year.

Still don't understand letting Matzek to start the inning against RHH.. Just let him have the whole damn inning... or just bring in Stephenson or someone and Jessie in the 8th...

everyone goes through struggles.. Riley actually will come back around. He hasn't sucked for 2 and a half freaking months with no recourse... just keep trotting the **** out in the 4 hole and at 1st every game..
If anything they just dug themselves into too much of a hole to overcome to start the season. They have played near-perfect baseball for 3 1/2 months now.

This is just brutal from our team. I understand you can't win every game, but they've put themselves in the position to basically have to do it if they want to win the division.
