Exactly. Even though the Braves will be losing 100 games this year I won't notice because I'll be too busy staring at that flag and reminiscing about last October.
Who needs live baseball for entertainment when they can just sit around remembering that one championship season?

I'm with you on this one. Miss state won it all last year, and they stink this year... I still love last year, but doesn't do crap for me suffering through their games this year. Being in contention every year should be the goal
Fortunately some of us aren't so shallow that we can't separate these two things.
That flag will fly forever - and it does nothing to add to (or detract from) a new season. Am I right to assume that you'd prefer that there were no flags flying in Atlanta at all? Sure sounds like it.
"Championship Week" is over and it was a lot of fun seeing last season's team celebrated. Going to Game 5 of the Series is a great memory, and the pictures will be prominently displayed where games are watched at my house - that's something no one will be able to spoil no matter how hard they try.
It's really unfortunate that you're *issed at the world - makes it hard to read through everything to get to the good in your posts.
