GDT: July 8th 2013 - Braves @ Marlins

Being happy and content aren't really the same thing in this case. Of course I would like the lead to be bigger and I am disappointed our offense isn't more consistent but I put more blame on Wren for that than I do the players. He knew what he was getting when he put this team together. I don't agree that we should be disappointed with our team's record and where they are in the standings. We are in a very good position, a lot of teams would trade places with us in a second.
 
We are 29-20 in our last 49 games and picked up 4 games on the Nats in that time span. Remember we hit that rough patch with all the tough teams on the road and went 10-17.

Neyer happened to have an entry in his blog about the race, and basically said that even the Nats full strength the rest of the way are probably not going to catch us. They have to go 46-27 to get to 92 wins, for example.
