GDT: Marlins @ Braves Trade Deadline Day Special

Disagree. Both the Braves and Phillies made significant improvements. The Nats have a reported toxic locker room, a rotation that is struggling and an overall bad defense.

Ok, I predict the Nats will have a better record than the Braves and Phillies from July 31 to end of the season and will finish ahead of at least one of them.

I don't know what to do with that. You can tell me I'm wrong if it doesn't happen and I'll admit it.

I do not like Allard's rhythm. He starts slow then rushes to the plate on the delivery. No wonder he has has control problems. Hard to recreate a consistent arm slot when you have no fluidity in your delivery.

He'd be more suited to be a reliever with those mechanics.

So, you think he should go with the two-handed approach?

Working off the fastball well. On a night like tonight there’s really no good way to get a grip for a good off speed pitch. Will be interesting to see if/when he gets another start

Allard is an absolute old school broadcast's dream with what he's billed for. I hope dearly for them, since Soroka is the same, that Soroka can get back on a mound with the ability to hit at least 89-93 next year as Allard ain't it.

It wasn't in the zone (may have been close enough to get him called out though), but even if it was, on both ends if he's trying to pull, Albies has shown he cannot get around on pitches that are up and in even with a mediocre fastball speed.

Give Philly credit. On the road, they've held a team that's 40 games over .500 to three runs in 20 innings.
