GDT: Mets @ Braves game 2

Kudos to the powers at be for letting Ozzie swing the bat like he’s Frank Thomas and not force him to be Michael Bourn. His power is what makes him special.
 
I am very curious what Dansby’s defensive metrics will look like when the sample is larger. He’s looked very smooth all year and turns a great DP with Ozzie.

Swanson was a plus defender despite 200 errors (exaggerating, a little) last season. Swanson is very good defensively when he doesn't make the dumb mistakes

Is it possible for him to keep this up with such a small walk rate...he only has 4 walks on the year but then again only has 14 strikeouts...I’m super hyped tho about how he’s playing along with Dansby & others...I think we need to see more Camargo, even tho Flaherty has been playing well above his norm & the FO needs to cut the crap and call up Acuna because this team is far exceeding expectations so far

Not to be that guy, but those DRS numbers mean very little. But to your point, I think it’s safe to say that Dodger regime knows how to mitigate the damage Kemp exposes them to. I’m sure they utilize a similar program as to what we do with Tucker since’s our analytics guy was the guy who instituted those protocols in LA.

He obviously doesn’t have elite range and the arm appears to be no more than average, so he won’t ever be a gold glove guy, but he seems like he will take care of the routine and moderately difficult.

Oh yea I know they do that, they are smart. I just wondered if he was being taken out with leads the same way as Tucker too. I was guessing so but haven't watched them much lately.

I see. Didn’t mean to come across as smarmy. It’s a good point you make and highlights how poorly managed the team was last year.

What a terrific at bat from Swanson.
