The Mets have been back to struggling after playing well for a while, but deGrom is a legit ace. The team needed to play well, including defense and control to have a chance.

If he doesn't go all the way, a chance is still there though because their pen has struggled.

No doubt. He’s so insanely good. He’s up there as a top 5 in baseball, if not top 3.
