gdt Monday Game 1 Metropolitans

I had heard a day or so ago the Mets might do an "opener" but if not, they're starting a LH that hasn't been very good above AA. Even still, he's likely coming in to pitch a few innings.
 
they could start this guy for 3-4 innings, then Gsellman for 2-3 then the bullpen for the rest of it.
 
fun Culberson facts....this was his second walk-off against the mets...last one came when he was with the Rockies...3 of his 7 career regular season home runs have been walk-offs

he also had a home run in the bottom of the 11th in game 2 of the 2017 world series

Conlon is making his second MLB start. I wondered if he's the first native of Northern Ireland to play in the majors -- and it turns out he's the second.

Irish McAlveen, who played 1906-09 for Pirates and Highlanders/Yankees.
 
Had company over so couldn't get on, but did see the last 5 innings of this game. What a way to end it. WOOHOO

In my defense, Culberson's Babe Ruth like power never allowed Ender the opportunity to disappoint us. I apologize for doubting Charlie's awesome abilities though.
 
If postponed, they can always try to play a doubleheader the next two days.

If not that, both teams are off June 11 before the Mets are in town June 12-13.
