GDT: Mutts @ Braves: 50th Anniversary of Hank Aaron Breaking the HR

So many mistakes and still only a one run loss. Should have been a win, but the rest of the season still looks really good.

Sure, but we're going to have to get some more consistency from our starting pitching. Hopefully they settle in soon. First real clunker of the year for the bullpen.

Just a suggestion, but when Slippy is on a roll and sweeping the defending N L champs …. He outta be forced to do game day threads.

Assuming Acuna isn't back to 2022, I agree.

Why would anyone assume Acuna would struggle like he did in 2022. He was still dealing with injury **** then, and it's the clear statistical outlier season. even then it wasn't that bad of a season he's still a mid 3 WAR player which isn't bad. It's just a let down because he should be a 6+ WAR player if he's healthy (162 game average is 6.2)

Arcia still with the best WAR according to fangraphs on the team. Including tied for the best defensive WAR in the game. He has 1/4th of his positive defensive value from last year in 9 games. 5 multi hit games in the first 9. Just incredible start to the year for him.

Bc he had a knee issue in ST, and he hasn't been able to lift the ball since... like in 2022.

Goes to show how your memory can trick you... I'm shocked to see that Acuna's GB rate was higher in 2023 than 2022.

I would like to introduce you to this thing called sample size.

Maybe he will be hurt, but until you get to that point you don't assume it will happen
