Interesting that Snit flipped Gant and Wisler in the rotation. Means Gant doesn't face the Mets in consecutive starts.

I'm a big fan of Gant. Low 90's fastball with a good looking curveball and a good changeup.

I agree. I think Gant is a guy who is going to keep getting guys out and force them to keep him in the rotation by his performance. At the beginning of every season, we wonder who will be the guy to come out of nowhere and become an important part of the future. I see Gant as that guy this year.

And Gant quickly learns that a couple mistakes can hurt you really quickly at this level. 2 fastballs belt high down the middle and they both got drilled.

Actually think if Gant fixes his delivery and gets rid of that awful hitch, that he could be a lot more consistent.

He pitches out of the stretch better than the wind up, because there's no delay.

It's like getting hit in the balls was a wakeup call.

I assume that having a chicken bone lodge in your throat and getting hit in the dick with a baseball could be interpreted as signs that you need to come correct. Now he seems to be chewing more thoroughly, swallowing his food more mindfully, and making a concerted effort not to suck at baseball.
