Degrom is great and Lugo is very underrated. If Duaz bounces back the Mets will have a very good pen.

I didn't think he did either. Most players are losing velocity as they get older and he's gaining? Either that or the gun was adding a few mph. Sorokas numbers looked normal.
 
Soroka’s 4 seamer averaged 92.9 with a spin rate of 2274. FG doesn’t have the movement data from last night yet, but it probably had its usual 6” of rise due to mediocre spin rate. It’s simply not a very good pitch. He threw it 25 times compared to 16 for the sinker, which is a far superior pitch. He usually throws the sinker much more often, and I expect him to get back to that in subsequent starts.

Do you think that has anything to do with Jackson calling the game?
 
I'd like to see the counts soroka throws that in.

My guess is that its a first pitch or a get me over strike close to the corners when the hitter is less likely to swing.
