Folty vs Pivetta on the mound.

Will be interesting to see how Folty's updated delivery does in the regular season, and if he can bounce back from the whooping he took against Detroit in his last Spring Training start.

Other than that, expecting a yuge game from Albies!

Can the Braves continue to dominate games with 4+ extra hits? Are all the "experts" wrong about lack of HRs being hit by Freddie and Comp.?

I'm still not convinced that Folty will ever be a #2 rotation guy. He's still a thrower IMO, not a pitcher.
 
I honestly think we are going to see a much improved Folty this year. I know he has done a ton of work, and did a lot of experimenting all winter and spring.
Tonight should show us a whole lot.

I've had high hopes for Folty due to his stuff. But I do think he will fall in line as one of those stuff middle of the rotation starters. These guys usually have that one season where everything clicks and they are ace-like but a MOR is what he will settle into.
 
Feel like I can afford Foltynewicz one more season of optimism. It'd be easier if his peripherals hadn't taken a step back last year—but it seems pertinent to recall that, despite his age (26), 2018 will only really be his third full-ish season in MLB, and in 2016 there may have still been lingering effects from illness and surgery.
 
Folty just seems like the perfect type of guy to have a mid career resurgence and turn into a good pitcher. It seems like you get one or two of those guys every year. Something just clicks with them. There are some guys where it just takes them a while to figure it out. I'm not saying that Folty will definitely be that guy this year, but he seems to be a pretty good candidate.
 
Still looking for the stalwarts like FreemanFan, Depley, BornaBrave, GermanBrave and CrimsonCowboy.

They were players that played almost every series. Just throwing it out there.

I'm not sure what explains it, but I definitely get the most accusations of having/being an alter-ego of anyone on this board. We/I should start keeping a list.
 
I have no idea if this new wind-up will lead to better results for Folty, but he definitely looks less cartoonish on the mound now. Velocity looks A-okay too.
