GDT pt. 2 6-28-14 (Game 2 of DH): Braves (Hale) at Philadelphia (O'Sullivan)

Agreed regarding Hale, though I'd trade Harang as his track record and comments since signing here suggest he'd refuse to go to the bullpen.

To this point he's still been awful. Poor base runner. Poor hitter. Poor defender.

He's hit well in June and I will take that going forward. But he really needs to hit for more power. And if you are going to sacrifice your power to get more hits then please cut down on the strikeouts.

Sure it would be nice if CJ had some more power. He has it, but his approach is to be as a hitter who puts together good at bats and gets a ton of singles and doubles. While he certainly hasn't done this all season I don't want him trying to change his approach. The team has enough guys who can and should hit for power.

WINNN! I know it's late, but I had work tonight.

Again, my man-love for Hale will be felt tonight. He was awesome... glad we have him. I hope he can continue to get shots when needed.

Freddie, Justin, Doumit, Cjoh and La Stella were fantastic. I think La Stella got the big hit he needed to get back on track. He was probably the MVP of the day in my opinion.

Also, how about this bullpen? They've been rocks after looking a bit rocky for a while. Love it. Great DH sweep, need to win tomorrow!

Great to see TLS making some solid contact again and seeing call-ups show what they can do in their first day in the big leagues is always an impressive reminder of how good the Braves farm system is.
