GDT: Red Sox @ Braves 9/5

Some have said you can't blame Snitckers for this loss. Why?? Who replaced Markakis with Duval in RF?? Who replaced Duda at 1B with Flaherty thus weakening the defense and hitting?? Who left Winkler in for at least 1 to many hitters?? much less putting him in the game?? Folty probably could have gone another inning. Only had thrown 87 pitches.
 
Well, no matter what, we still lead after today. Let's hope we can pick things up and move on!

A few obvious things: The Braves need to get a lot better in the offseason. They're ahead of schedule, but they still have many places to improve.

Also, Folty is awesome.

Who couldn’t get outs in the eighth inning? Who misplayed a certain double play into an error that cost two bases? Who allowed a two out 432 foot bomb to a hitter who is basically a glorified AAAA player right now? That would be the guys on the field. I don’t think Snitker is a great manager by any stretch, but this team, with Duda and Flaherty playing had a 7-1 lead and didn’t close the deal. When the players aren’t doing the job, the blame lies at their feet.

Still seems kind of dumb that your team has been scuffling badly and you don't put in your A-team to preserve the win at all costs.
 
Braves now 3-13 vs winning teams in the 2nd half. We now go west where we suck to face the dbacks best pitchers

I understand that thought. Still, that lineup gave the team a 7-1 lead. No excuses for blowing that lead, no matter how great the other team is.

I'm from Atlanta man..it's what we do.
We have thick skin since we have had so much practice at this.
I guess I could be like most people and become a bandwagon fan of the Sux or Scubs but that's just not who I am.
Although judging from Suntrust the last week, that's who a lot of people are lol
Never saw so many Boston fans not from Boston.
 
I still think it's very bizarre that Acuna wasn't placed in RF.

It didn't matter in the end but McAuley thinks he plays RF next season, so why avoid it?

He makes at least one of those plays out there. The last one, it looked like Duvall was there and just let it drop. I think he gets that one.

Maybe it doesn't matter in the end as the ball is rolling, but still.
