GDT-- Sun--3/11 vs Tigers

Is Wisler tipping his pitches? When he pulls his hand out of his glove during his motion, he holds the ball out in the open for half a second right by his right hip. Seems like the hitter can easily see his grip.

Acuna takes fastball in, then rolls over change away for a tapper foul. Fouled off something low then laid off a fastball up they tried to make him chase. Then they missed in twice to walk him.

Laying off the fastball up was a good sign.

Is it me or are the baseballs not as hard as normal? Albies FO sounded like mush on a shot near track in gap, Ruiz FO to RF in gap near track sounded like mush, and a couple of GOs also sounded soft.

It’s exciting to have a front-office willing to hold Acuña down a few weeks, but more exciting to have a player that makes one really regret the rules that incentivize doing so.

I'd be all for offering that 7 year deal plus two options for Acuna right now so he could be there opening day.

That's what I want but make sure he sees more money up front. While the AAV stays the same the fair value of the contract increases.

It's definitely harder to tell with no radar gun, but it seems like Wisler is mixing things up more than I remember (pitches, locations). I think that's the right approach for him since he doesn't really have a consistent out-pitch. His command looks pretty solid overall.

He's talked about regaining feel and confidence in his slider.

He has given up 4 hits and a walk in 2 IP.

That’s not exactly dominant.

I’m looking for video from home plate to see if he’s tipping his pitches.

I think Hoye missed that called 3rd strike to Freddie, so does Freddie.

3 Ks for Liriano that inning--Decker, Riley and Freddie
