GDT Sun, 7/22 vs Nats, weather permittiing

Okay I'm back, I thought I was going to just hold this one away. If Winkler just isn't that good, they really adjusted to him fast as it wasn't luck, he was striking everybody out.

Thought the Braves might lose the Scherzer game before this series started, but this game in a way was a little infuriating. Several hard hit balls didn't work out for the Braves.
 
I've not been impressed with AA either. I never have really understood what people see in him. He wasn't good in Toronto.

I complain a lot and I get it’s uneeded, but we were legit unlucky today/tonight. We missed 4-5 homers, had replays screw us over, were robbed 2-3 times. Awful luck. We played relatively well and had nothing go right.

On a good note, Acuna looks REALLY good right now

If we had half the luck the Phils have, we'd be 10 games up in first.

Of course we were unlucky tonight. Still doesn't justify not upgrading the pen and flaherty at the very least. We were 3 games in front 3 weeks ago... the time to address our weaknesses was 2 weeks ago, and we still haven't

He was the best GM they ever had and he got Donaldson/Price for relatively low costs.
 
AA has to weigh the cost of inaction versus the benefit of waiting the price to drop. But I'm also of the view he should have picked up a situational lefty by now. The price for guys like Loup is not gonna change much.

We have Ryan freaking flaherty as a bench bat too. He has to be upgraded bc snit isn't gonna stop double switching him
