Not surprising.

Good teams are just going to start holding the bat vs Newcomb and let him walk the world. He's going to end up with a 4+ ERA at the end of the season.

He's a four or five. Folty is a two.

I would disagree about folty. He's no sub 2 era guy but he's changed how he pitches and his 3.17 fip is real. Newk on the other is different.

Umm no. Newk is throwing the same amount of strikes. The difference is teams have stopped chasing, and his luck with HRs has evaporated.

I know they’re young, but our guys have to grow a pair a pitch out of trouble. After a 4-0 start, a 5-5 road trip is just idiotic and embarrassing.
 
At least we got half a season of exciting baseball. Obviously still a year away from competing with good teams.
 
If we are going to trade for anything it needs to be a TOR starter. Whether that’s this year or offseason.

Should target DeGrom. If it costs 3 or 4 for 1. As long as its pitching heavy, you might just have to pull the trigger.

I honestly thought that too. None of us are gullible.

But we're going to be wrong. I hate it but this hasn't stopped, most likely. In the end he's likely going to have a low 4's ERA and be a guy to sell sadly. Walks bother me more than homers but they have a twofold act, he had to throw a cookie because he can't throw a strike.
 
Now our entire season is doomed? Some of you guys flip flop so fast. We arent bad as we are playing right now. But we probably are not as good when we were hot..

Forget anything and everything about Machado. Braves need pitching if they are going to stay contenders. Starting and relief.

Who gives a **** what you said. We could all see he needed to throw more strikes. All I care about is results. Which the last 2 have sucked. Nobody thought he was a #1. Guy still has plenty chance to be a solid MLB pitcher.

I’m a fan of the Braves first. I couldn’t care less about being right or wrong or whether you are right or wrong. I just want to Braves to win baseball games.
