gdt Sunday red sox

Honestly don't feel so bad about this series anymore. The difference in this series might end up being the Red Sox's ability to pull out a knuckleballer on the Braves when Pomeranz was ineffective.

This braves' team has some kind of heart. I thought a sweep was a formality today; the braves disagreed. Great job, SO FAR. Finish

No idea how allard's stuff will play in Atlanta, but he just keeps shutting teams down...

Nice to have him back

Allard could very well have plus or better movement on the fastball that allows it to play up. I can’t wait to see some actual data on his stuff.

Yup. They are the third best team in baseball. Taking 1 of 3 on the road should be considered a positive

From what I've seen and read Allard is all about command. Being able to throw your pitch to where you want to throw it. That is the whole basis of taking advantage of hitters weaknesses

Yes, we’ve all heard the cliche a million times.

I honestly side more with Enscheff than you. I don't think Glavine is as effective as he was in the past today. You can be command based but you still need something to get guys confused, maybe some movement on the fastball (like what HH was saying in the other thread), etc.

Maybe he has that but if not...he's Ty Blach. That's a fine major league player though but not a stud player.

And so far I deserve to get slapped for saying Folty would get hammered.

Allard has a plus change and curve right now. Curve might be plus plus. My argument is based on the assumption that he has major league stuff already. The command builds off of that.
