"Dansby sucks" is not the construction I'd go with. Let's fully appreciate that he's playing great D AND the fact that he's got a sub-.700 career OPS. Just cause he looks like he should be better doesn't mean we should buy in if he doesn't produce between the lines.
I mean, after a couple weeks in April, this season is him going 2-18 with 5 Ks, then having a multi-hit game to the chorus of "bae has it going now," followed by another 2-18. That just seems to be who he is. Fewer walks than you'd expect from a dude who seems to have decent strikes zone judgement. More Ks than a guy with his limited pop can sustain. If he weren't a 1/1 playing great defense we'd be collectively calling for an upgrade. Hell, right now we're talking about replacing a piece, in Camargo, who's been significantly better for 2 seasons.
