This was not Newk wildness.. This was selective pitching. He was clearly more careful to certain hitters. He did miss on some pitches, but I have seen wild Newk and that is nothing like tonight. He needs to work on one more pitch.. if he gets a third pitch, he will be an ace no doubt.

Agreed. That won't happen this season though. Working on the change will be his top priority in the offseason.

yes.. he might tinker, but not until the offseason. He should just pitch this year Knowing that he has the ability to get guys out on just 2 pitches.

Yeah I will be here. But I can tell you now I won't change my mind because of fx data. stats are wonderful and I enjoy following them but the beauty of the game is the human factor that the stats don't measure.

Just wanted to see. Some seem to think we juiced the gun for Newcomb, fixed it for straily, juiced it more for Newcomb later, fixed it for motte...

Yes, because we know how infallible pitch/fx is. LOL! It's old tech that has its own issues. It's being phased out by Statcast.
