Looks like MLB's Gameday adjusted the velocities after the game. Originally it had up to 100.9 against Realmuto in the 1st, refreshed and now it's down to 95.
Also can't believe I remembered the password to this account

That's cool..started looking at some tickets for later this summer. Wasn't sure I was going to make the 2.5 hour drive this year.. but I might have to. I think August/Sept which might have some young players going. :tchop:

Personally I could care less what the gun says. I think the gun is the biggest problem in the MLB. A straight 98 mph ball goes a lot farther when barreled up than a 90 mph with movement causing weak contact. All I know is tonight his FB had enough velocity and movement to pitch well against a good lineup.

What annoyes me is the conspiracy theory stuff.

What annoyed you was that I was pointing out facts that didn't mesh with what you wanted to see. So you, and all the other derptards, threw a fit.

Ok the gun was wrong. Like I said in the last post I personally am not big on the radar gun anyway so it doesn't surprise me.

So what as fans what should we take away from Tonight?

Oh let me guess. Newk is overrated. He will not last long in the majors. Coppy is an idiot. We should have never traded Simmons. Etc.

I made several posts in this thread about how good Newk looked. I'm sorry you chose to only focus on the ones that contradicted what you thought... and upset you.

The gun being high makes the offense getting shut down even more embarrassing. That means Straily wasn't even hitting 90. He was probably sitting 84-88 with with his fastball and 78-80 with the change.

There were two guns apparently for lefties and righties. The lefty gun was the juicked one.

It doesn't matter. The offense was just bad last night. I think it is 110% clear at this point, you can't lose protection like KEMvP and expect to score. He is that important to this offense.

I just looked at his PAR (protection above replacement). Highest in the league. Sitting at 37 right now. You just can't lose that on a nightly basis.
