Global Events & Politics Überthread

Perhaps the most important thing is that we're slowly building a coalition against Iran. The short-sighted posters here seem unable to figure that part out.

Iran is all that is in the way of peace in the middle east. There will be significant pressure on the Mullahs as their people start to get more and more information on these peace accords.

It can't be stressed enough how truly historic this day is.

Countless lives and dollars will be saved because of the wars that will not be fought as a result of this peace. It doesn't stop with just UAE & Bahrain. The rhetoric has been such that many will follow and those shoes will hopefully drop soon. Just have to reject the radical leftist agenda.

It wasnt a hotel, it was an arms deal.

SCOOP:

According to a source with direct knowledge, under his smile Benjamin Netanyahu

was deeply angry at Trump for insisting on selling F-35 combat jets to the UAE.

Even more outrageous, Trump warned Netanyahu that if he met with Joe Biden,

Trump would limit aid to Israel.

Trump also demanded that no one wear a mask in public when appearing with him.

Netanyahu placed his mask back on as soon as he went inside the White House.

This is perfect.

It was obvious the left was going to downplay a historic event like this.

What a joke.

You really are getting obsessed with how the "left" covers the news considering your only exposure to it is when the right wing news you follow regurgitates it to you. Wasnt it Republicans who killed the fairness doctrine in media?

How Jared Kushner Proved His Critics Wrong

Despite the commentariat’s assumption that he was an idiot, the president’s son-in-law has successfully nudged the tectonic plates of Middle East politics.

Kushner is a brilliant administrator and his upbringing makes him ideally placed to be a middle east peacemaker. Just needs to stay away from domestic policy because he leans too left for whats best for this country.

His successes aren't a surprise. His lineage is that of the smartest people on the planet. We are a very able collection of people.

In a landmark trial reckoning with the extreme far right, a Greek court Wednesday found Golden Dawn party leaders and lawmakers guilty of running a criminal organization — an extraordinary rebuke of a party that had once clawed into the country's mainstream.

Thousands of Greeks outside the courthouse cheered the ruling, which also included specific guilty findings for attacks on immigrants and the murder of an anti-fascist rapper.

The ruling all but cements the fall of Golden Dawn, a party that a decade earlier had grown on the back of Greece’s financial and migrant crises and presaged the rise of other, less extreme European nationalist parties.

In the verdict, which followed a trial lasting more than five years, 18 top members of the party were found guilty of being part of a criminal organization. Seven, including the leader, Nikos Michaloliakos — who once claimed there were no gas chambers in Auschwitz — were found guilty of running a criminal organization.

Man in Germany refused citizenship after he refused to shake the womans hand who was naturalizing him. Couldnt agree more with this. I would add eating a pork sandwich to the test. If your religion is more important to these people then they should go back where they came from and pray to their God for help. Last thing we need to do is validate these peoples beliefs by helping them. They wont thank us they will thank Allah.

France learning the hard way that religious extremists is a real threat to take seriously. Absolutely why I want no part of immigrants from these middle eastern countries. If push came to shove I would rather our tax money used to subsidize them living in Saudi Arabia or whatever ass backwards country they want to live in. Few things worse to me than a religious person who wants people to help instead of asking their all powerful god for help. When bad **** happened in my life Priests told me it was gods plan and everything happens for a reason. I apply that same logic to these people. Go fix your own damn country instead of bringing that **** here. That their country is a hell hole is because of their **** culture and it is not our responsibility to protect them from their own BS.
