and of course the "perfect phone call" to Zelinskyy (I'm starting to dig the spelling with two y's at the end) and protracted "hold" on military assistance

Yet in 2016 and 2020 there were major candidates in both parties (very poorly chosen one and Bernie) who questioned its utility and stood against the post-war consensus that has guided American foreign policy.
