I'll answer this non-seriously because I don't care. WHat were your opinions of the safety in Dublin in the 70s?

Ireland has a violent crime rate of 0.93 in 2003 vs. in 2021 was 0.44. Maybe it's spiked back up, but it seems like the crux of those articles is vibes "according to polls" etc.

Or there was a unique gang war that took place which I assume led to crimes between the two gangs as opposed to random acts of criminality that we see all over the western world now.

We're not living in a time with more crime, more bad weather, etc. We're living in a time when we're bombarded with information over and over and over.

This myth that crime is something that comes from the third world is also a silly thing. Violent crime comes from people who're desperate or mentally ill. No human says I want to just punch this guy unless they're either not mentally well, or they're desperate and are doing it for other reasons.

Poor people cause the vast majority of crime. That is a fact that cannot be disputed. Extensive research proves this.

The majority of the people migrating from 3rd world countries are poor. Again, something that cannot be disputed as extensive research proves this.

Logically, if both are true, then an influx in immigrants from 3rd world countries will, in fact, cause a significant increase in crime per capita. And that is exactly what real world data shows to be happening around the world.

Yes - You believe crime statistics that have been shown to be flawed.

However, when nations appropriately track crime rates by nationalities/immigration status the picture is very clear.
 
Genuinely impressed by Trump and Vance’s ability to take a situation as complex and nuanced as conceding the Ukraine war might not be economically viable to support anymore and turn it into the stupidest sideshow on the planet.

The left won’t want to concede this, but it is perfectly in-bounds to pressure Zelenskyy to make some concessions to end the war and move forward with whatever that means if we aren’t going to pay to support it. Wars get lost sometimes, even when the aggressor is morally wrong. It sucks, but it happens and Trump is not inherently wrong to make that assessment. But Trump and Vance have instead decided to shift from “Ukraine can’t win this war” to “Ukraine is a bunch of assholes stealing our money” and it’s just needless.

Zelenskyy was perfectly justified in questioning Vance on the idea of Putin honoring a ceasefire and if Trump and Vance didn’t want Zelenskyy to “litigate this in front of the media” they shouldn’t have had these talks in front of the media with people like MTG’s boyfriend there to ask him about his wardrobe. It was a dumb little MAGA Propaganda Session instead of a serious sit-down with an ally and Zelenskyy was not being disrespectful to ask questions in front of the media Trump invited into the room in the first place.

My problem isn’t the transparency, it’s the theatre of it. Everything is for the clicks or the culture war. It’s okay to cut off Ukraine, but Trump’s political strategy hinges on everything being a win, so the geopolitically “weak” move of conceding Ukraine to Russia instead must be a return to common sense against an overreaching Ukraine. The problem with that strategy is we all watched it play out in real-time. You don't get to just memory hole the past 3 years for political convenience.
 
I don’t think anyone cares.

Zelensky was told what was needed to get it done and he didn’t.

It ends there. Having another dramatic opinion on the how won’t matter
