People are murdered for a variety of reasons every day under all types of political regimes. Murders in another country amongst a parade of global murders provide me no reason to change my voting habits. This is bad, radicalism is bad, and it’s in fact worse than mean words online. I’ve got nothing else for you on this.
I do in fact want fewer Islamists in our country, just as I want fewer religious fanatics of all stripes. I’ll still welcome Muslims, though.
Coupled with the fact that 10-20% of global wide Muslims are what you characterize as an “Islamist”.
That number is a bit absurd. If 10-20% of Muslims were extremists who kill people, there would be far more instances of Islamic terrorism.

I was in Denver a few weeks ago. My colleague (a Muslim dude for what its worth - good guy, married to a white lady) told me the saddest part about living there today is he no longer brings his kids downtown... Just not worth the risk. Too many crazies on the street. Everyone smoking weed. He just keeps them in suburban neighborhood now.

Pretty big if there, but kind of yes? Those expressing views of Islamic rule would be a group I’d favor cutting off, and unless someone has been here for a lengthy amount of time without issue, I’d question those with extreme religious/theocratic views for deportation. Not sure if it’d pass the 1A test, but if I had a magic wand I’d get rid of the zealots.
