Global Events & Politics Überthread

Meh - I wanted all of Greenland but portions to build out missile defense and no restrictions based on EU regulations is a good start. We will have to just buy the rest in 20 years and wonder what it wasn't done that way in the first place.

As usual Trump finds a common ground in a negotiation.

Super seriously going to use the military!

Shout out to Trump for making this deal for us in 1951. I’m guessing now that we’re doing a victory lap over Trump’s win that any money we spend on defending European land is now just peace through strength or something.
Guessed you missed hte times it was stated 'According to NATO's plans'

None of that is applicable any longer. Mineral rights are also said to be included in the deal which is yet another thing not in this deal.

I know it hurts MQT as well the continued mass deportations. Just breathe and realize that Trump is making a better world for your children.

I’ve seen a few statements the past few days that made me wonder if there was a private disagreement about the US putting up extra sensor or launch nodes in Greenland for the Golden Dome. The “deal” that has trickled out seems to fit NATO backdooring acceptance of something like that.

Duh - anything other than extremely high threshold merit based immigration is destructive to the host nation.

Imagine how much Americans could learn if class sizes were smaller, had less malcontents and only had to deal with one language all day?
That makes them 8th in Europe behind Germany, UK, France, Italy, Russia, Spain, Netherlands, if you slide to GDP/Capita Poland is 24th behind Luxembourg, Ireland, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Netherlands, San Marino, Iceland, Malta, Belgium, Sweden, AUstria, Germany, ANdorra, Finland, France, Cyprus, UK, Italy, Czech Republic, SLovenia, Lithuania, and Spain.

Poles should be proud of their growth, but acting like they're some kind of true powerhouse is crazy.

Umm - Do you understand the history of Poland? If you did you wouldn't mae this comparison as if it meant anything.
