Yes. I understand why they would claim they did something they didn’t.

But that’s not what I asked.

I’m specifically looking for examples where they had evidence they carried out an attack that they didn’t.

I’ll wait

“It is not without precedent for the Islamic State to issue boldly misleading statements about important events,” Smith said.

For example, ISIS claimed that U.S. forces destroyed the al-Nuri mosque in Mosul. They’ve also inflated the amount of territory under ISIS rule.

“There is certainly a case to be made that much of the content of Islamic State propaganda is false information or obfuscatory information,” Smith said.

And I'm the crazy one for saying we shouldn't just believe ISIS is responsible because they said so.

Your 'evidence' is the body cam footage right?

Ok - So then your contention is the only way that ISIS could have access to this is if they themselves coordianted/executed the attack?

“Only” is your word, not mine. But to answer your question, I think it’s highly unlikely they were provided the body cam footage by a third party.

Have I diffinitively stated that ISIS didn't do this?

I guess asking questions of the quickly established narrative is bad in your eyes now....

Asking questions is always a great exercise.

But you've done a lot more work explaining how it's probably other things (without evidence) that than you have exploring that maybe the evil.terrorist organization who likes to kill people may have actually killed people

It's not like ISIS and Russia are friends

Ah - So you're already opening up the possibilty that they could have received it via other means even with no involvement with the planning and execution.

'Highly unlikely' as you put it.

Glad to know that you're slightly coming around to the possiblity.

Wait, you mean to tell me the organization that was born from the same fighters who fought against the USSR in 80s and hate Bashar who's propped up by Putin would have issues with Russia?

Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted Monday that “radical Islamists” were behind the massacre of nearly 140 people at a Moscow concert hall last Friday – but he still pointed to Ukraine as the hidden hand behind the terror attack.

"The question that arises is who benefits from this?" Putin said at the Kremlin during a video conference with leaders of Russia's security forces. "We know by whose hand the crime against Russia and its people was committed. But what is of interest to us is who ordered it."

I guess that’s enough for TheThe to come around and agree it was ISIS

Is that what Putin said?

I do know that as long as Hannity tells you it was ISIS and keeps saying Putin bad! You’ll believe it!

Russian investigtaors so always take with a grain of salt but the writing was on the wall from day 1.

But hte usual suspects always slurp up the establishment narrative so they aren't perceived as 'kooks'.
