It's not an apples to apples comparison. Argentina was a hot mess and radical change was needed. Many of Milei's policies were widely panned as being unconstitutional. And he hasn't been afraid to use the military to clean up the streets so to speak. But given the state of Argentina prior to his election, it was clear that massive reform was needed, and the constitution, perhaps, re-written.

His policies appear to be working, and working rather well. But such policies are never going to fly here, and I would never support such policies.
