These people and their God awful whataboutisms.

Is it a whataboutism now to claim that a Presidential candidate explicitly expressed support for imprisoning people for constitutionally-protected free speech when asked if I would change my vote regarding free speech?

I don't agree with Trump (and knowing him it's just talk) on this but when you want to compare both sides there's nothing equal here.

The left is determined to shut down any speech that counters their narrative and they have been doing it on social media.

That's about 1,000x worse than putting a ban on flag burning so your whataboutism is ridiculous.

I’d like to point out that flag burning is an action.

It is not speech.

Please don’t bore me with a speech vs. expression debate. If such a law were passed, it would still be a First Amendment violation. Maybe this Court disagrees, but until they do I’m not entertaining the distinction.

Just say you don’t agree. You don’t have to grandstand with all that.

But it is an action

You can’t stop the populist revolution.

We will fix the world the globalists tried to destroy.

The only reason we haven’t seen this yet fully in America is pure election theft.

Can you give some examples of all these great populist countries that nobody is able to stop?

Again - this is another example of a battle that will be judged over decades and not a singular year. It’s very clear populist parties are strengthening across Europe in almost all countries. Soon we will control all of them.

It is kind of a weird distinction. Writing an essay is an action. Both are recognized as forms of expression protected against government intrusion by the first amendment.

I'm surprised he didn't cite Hungary. That probably comes closest to thethe's wet dream fantasy. But Hungary is mostly a boring bougie country. And I say that as someone who thinks boring bougie is a good thang.

Hungary and Romania. Poland was too till tusk was snuk into power.

I was looking into moving to Hungary but outside of city centers it’s not entertaining for families and the language is tough to learn. English is not widely spoken either.

Working and living abroad is a great experience. If an opportunity comes up go for it.

A 3.5 year old and soon to be another (not yet conceived) will make it challenging.

They (Hungary) don’t offer citizenship unless you have a good profession so I was fortunate there. In another life maybe. I’ll have to settle for multiple week treks through Europe but first on agenda is Italy/Greece/Cyprus

Kids complicate things. But also it will be a very enriching experience for them. They will accrue experiences that will probably pay off in various ways later in life. Americans don't realize how provincial they are.

Yeah, southern Europe is the place for me. Most of Europe is too cold for my liking.

For a vacation I’d love to go to the Norwegian states during either winter or summer but if I ever leave NY (highly unlikely because it’s the greatest place on earth) it would be to a warmer climate.
