Making a great case why it’s so integral to own access to this key choke point. Similar to the Panama Canal.

There’s a theme here boys

It seems to me that there is an alternative. Which is to bypass the Strait and use Oman as a transshipment hub. Look at the map. Build pipelines and other infrastructure in Oman. It will take time but the logic is strong.

I won’t begin to pretend I know enough to pro/con that out. What I know is that the only reason we can’t have it already is a radical Islamic theocracy that has no business existing in the modern world while holding such key world resources.

Your method still leaves that theocracy in place which is a big negative when comparing. I think the costs will look good in the long run.

A unified Middle East will be a multiplier for global growth and peace.

I would like that theocracy to be gone as much as anyone. I just wonder about the approach being taken. I'm afraid the global economy is going to go into the tank and the theocracy will still be there when we decide to declare victory.

And I think the decaptiation is closer than it seems. I’d be shocked if there weren’t several special operations happening on the ground taking out even more key people.

What’s to stop us from taking control of their oil in the south and fortifying that position.

We’d have the blessing of almost all the Middle East.

We could bleed out the IGRC over time while the Iranian people form a more sophisticated resistance army.

The jumps in oil and LNG prices change the strategic situation quite a bit. The Iranians are going to conclude that time is on their side. As painful as the military assault is for them, the economic and political ramifications for Trump are enormous.

Iranians can say or do whatever they want. When we have full operational control of the south and tankers are flowing through the straight none of what they say will matter.

And yes - we can just do that. That’s why the plan has been to destroy their full military capabilities and most importantly their navy. Middle stockpiles are exhausted and our interception ability has greatly advanced.

Yeah, regional powers famously love global powers coming in and taking over the key industries of their competitors on the market via military force.
