I don’t see how this would be the answer, regardless of whether or not you “like” Russia. Maybe if the agreement was to let Russia have the disputed land but Ukraine joins NATO and the EU. But just telling Russia they can have the land they violently invaded and Ukraine remains isolated isn’t a ****ing serious offer.

Yes, those are the areas I’m suggesting could be given to Russia. What isn’t a serious suggestion is to just tell Ukraine to hope and pray that’s all Russia ever does. Ukraine would have a very compelling interest to increase its defense at the new border if Russia is given this territory.
