it is very likely that some people who could be reasonably called Nazis or neo-Nazis are ending up in possession of some of the arms we and others are sending

so does that mean sending military aid to Ukraine can be characterized as "arming the Nazis?" From your post I thought that was what you were saying. Just wanted to make sure that this is in fact the case before adding it to your list of classics

It should be noted that Congressional Authorizations specifically block any aid from going to the Azov Battalion. However, it is possible that some of the arms sent end up in their hands.

Recognizing that, I think I will be adding Vern's characterization to his list of classics.

Who does Russia think they're fooling by threatening Finland and Sweden?

If they never did this stupid special operation they would have never even considered going to NATO. Joining NATO polled below 40% in both countries. Now it's a majority opinion to want to join.

And with Russia's military being stretched thin in Ukraine, they haven't really given other countries any fear other than the fact they hold nukes.

But their equipment is so old and run down who knows if their nukes even work still?

It's not really their old equipment. It is the culture of lies, self-dealing and corruption. When you traffic in lies the way they do, it becomes internalized. Most of the time you can get away with living in an alternate reality. But not all of the time. It is tragic but also darkly funny. They came to believe their own deza about various things and it came back and bit them in the ass. Big time.
