Global Events & Politics Überthread

He's obviously not smart considering he didn't do this invasion while his puppet was office, and could have avoided these sanctions and Ukrainian aid against him

Trump would have been forced to take action by the media bad coverage. The ideal time was in a second term when he doesn't have to worry about reelection.

Le Pen has done a good job of nudging her party away from her father's noxious racist views. Now she needs to put the disastrous dalliance with Vlad the Dim behind her.

It's also worth noting it's the first time a French president has won reelection in 3 tries too.

Trend lines in France show a positive movement towards populism. As the globalist order continues to create generations of serfs more will move towards common sense politics.

IN POLAND, NEAR THE BORDER WITH UKRAINE — The United States hopes the war in Ukraine will result in a “weakened” Russia that no longer has the capacity to invade its neighbors, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Monday — a sharpening of rhetoric toward Moscow as the conflict stretches into its third month.

“We want to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine,” Austin said.

The defense secretary was asked how he defined “America’s goals for success” in Ukraine. He first said Washington wants to see “Ukraine remain a sovereign country, a democratic country, able to protect its sovereign territory.”

Then, he said, the United States hopes Russia will be “weakened” by the war. “It has already lost a lot of military capability and a lot of its troops, quite frankly, and we want to see them not have the capability to very quickly reproduce that capability,” Austin said.

Austin said the United States hopes “to see the international community more united, especially NATO.” He cited the sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States and its allies as an example of how the war in Ukraine has made the security alliance more unified.

Too bad very poorly chosen one is no longer in office and able to put a hold on military aid to Ukraine while extorting Zelenskyy for personal political gain

Yeah would suck to have all that peace again

Marie Yovanovitch basically said the same thing.

These people are toxic.

And what we saw in France was just more of the same. Old people who only think short term and with their own wallet while the young people of the world see the evils of the Globalist order.

A new day is coming. The French elections despite Macron winning is a great sign for the future.
