For further clarity,
This is not the free market at work
I'm sorry for being so naive to not see why this is a better situation

Show me where I’ve supported total government control.

I’ve said I just want to stop doing business with China exclusively and support American businesses. I’m fine with trade with other nations.
The WTO is an absolute extension of free market because it was pushed by forces that wanted to open more markets so that the can choose cheaper options. And no it wasn’t governments that initiated those deals. They may sign the meaningless pieces of paper but it’s forces much higher than them that made it happen.
Show me where I’ve supported total government control.
So you would ban all business with China.
We would take no imports and we would send no exports.
Can IBM do business in china in your centrally planned economy? They currently have a footprint out there
And why are we only.banning commerce with one communist country? Why not all of them?
As for the WTO, can you explain to me why is it necessary? In a free market, the US can pick and choose who does business with. Now we are governed by a central authority on the matter. That central authority chose to include China
There are no free market forces in this equation
Absolutely zero business with China until the ccp is destroyed. The fallou from this decision would pale in comparison to the long term benefit of free the Chinese people.
I see so you pick and choose what we need to allow and not allow.
Gonna need some central planning for that.
I just hope your people are smarter than the current people
Still clarifying.
Can IBM do business in China?
Yes I determine that not doing business with a communist slave state is a good decision.
If IBM wants to support a communist dictatorship that’s their decision. If their parts are made in China they aren’t allowed here.
Ok so earlier when I said your solution is to centrally plan the economy, better than the current central planners, you said "why do you think that's my solution"
I correctly responded because that is your solution
Can they sell products to Chinese people?
If you think that restricting a communist slave state from being in the world economy is centrally planning while still doing trade with all other nations is an example of the central planning then have at it.
You’re in the side that apparently is ok with the ccp.
You are incapable of having a disagreement without getting very emotional.
If you think "I'm on the side of the CCP" then there is no helping you
I'm merely pointing out your criticism of free markets is not legitimate. You are currently upset about a centrally planned system. Your proposed solution to that is ALSO a centrally planned system.
Mine would be a free market system
We do need the eating popcorn emoticon back.
You hide behind “free market” when it really means keeping trade with China.
That’s IBMs decision.
Ok last question on this
To what extent are you willing to reduce the quality of lives of Americans in order to punish your global enemies (in this case, China)
It is apparent to me you are out of good arguments
When your argument continues to be “free market” while we support a communist slave state I’d say the same to you.
