US export bans on chip making tech has actually had a significant hinderance on China. Look at what happened with Huwawei.

It’s not feasible financially or otherwise to be self sufficient if you want to maintain technological parity with the West.

CCP can't make that decision because they will completely collapse without AMericas consumer market.

But for the betterment of the world the US and all western nations should completey decouple with the CCP.

this goes along my point we were arguing the other day

i asked you to what extend we should reduce american's quality of life to harm the CCP... it is apparently not important enough for you to quit your job in order to do so... is it reasonable to ask others?

Reasonable to ask others to do what? I haven't asked a single person to change their behavior. I am for a position that doesn't allow a communist dictatorship to sell their goods to free societies.

THe market will still fill those goods from other sources.

To act like its an unreasonable rquest to stop enriching our #1 enemy is wild.
