Gohara down 35 pounds

Gohara's conditioning tanked after a devastating off-season for him personally. Seen him get back in shape is a really good thing. His lack of conditioning this year really hurt him.

I think this very possibly a legit much better shape story. I mean think about what he went through as a young guy barely in his 20s... a parent dies out of nowhere and another gets extremely ill.... you are dealing with an injury. I can't even imagine that happening in my 20-25 age range... I would have been lost and not cares about a damn thing for a good long while. I think there was a lot of unfair criticism on him when you really stop and think about it

When you think about it, a Gohara rebound could turn out to be the biggest break the Braves have had in quite a while. For all Bowman's recent poormouthing the pitching prospects, Gohara is by far at the top of the list of ones who could legitimately be an in-house TOR guy. If they're not really that close with Brantley already and AA could get Peralta for Newk (replacing him with Gohara), you've essentially upgraded your corner OF spot for lots less than originally hoped - and potentially upgraded your rotation while doing so.
