Seriously, has this front office received a threat to win in the next year or lose their jobs? Am I missing something?

Jeez. Come on, FO.

Just because a prospect is pitching/playing well doesn't mean he has to be promoted. A little seasoning is a good thing.

I love Touki, but his ERA is STILL 5.04 ERA in Florida. Dude shouldn't sniff Mississippi, at least not until he continues his recent success.

You can't be serious. I was thinking it's time to promote Kyle Wright to AAA.

They sold moving to the new stadium as some huge revenue booster. 100 games into the season they are 12th in MLB in average attendance. Despite the rainbows thethe constantly tries to blow up everyone's ass, the summer boost is almost over, and they are on pace for 2.5-2.6 million fans total. That is an almost negligible increase over the Turner Field pre-rebuild numbers (2014 and earlier)...not good.

My guess is they (including folks above Coppy's pay grade) aren't delivering the revenue boost they promised with the new stadium, and they are feeling heat to generate excitement and boost attendance/revenue.

I agree with much of this, but I don't understand who they thought they'd fool with this "product." A rebuild should provide some pain and it has, but why half do it with short sighted thinking? I don't believe any sane person in Atlanta thought the Braves were playoff bound in spite of the glossed over acquisitions of the Over-the-hilll gang.

Now, we're promoting 19-20 year olds aggressively in the hopes that they join the team next year? I'm a non-apologetic prospect dude, but I like development at a medium pace. I love what Acuna is doing, but I would have let him hit 30 bombs in AA. I guess I'm just confused by the strategy right now.

All of our prospects are the best in baseball at their positions and deserve to be in Atlanta as soon as possible

I agree with you, but I do think you can sell the casual fan by adding names like Kemp, Markakis, Phillips, etc. Sure we all realize they're well past their prime and provide very little, but that name value is worth something to the casual fan that doesn't pay close attention. Now that those names aren't producing anything serious in the win column, I bet they're feeling the heat and feel the need to be way too aggressive with these prospects.

The Braves haven't done a full rebuild in the JS era. It stands to reason it wouldn't have been approved if they didn't think they could compete by 2017.

Pozzy-Barves love to say "compete by 2017" was just lip service...because they aren't competing in 2017.

I am 100% confident we saw a half-in rebuild because this FO truly thought they were so smart they could compete by 2017.

They aren't that smart, they can't compete by 2017, and now they are rushing guys to cover up this glaring mistake.

We are about to see several very valuable prospects mishandled like Swanson, mostly with the same results.
