In 1961, 18-year-old Ross enlisted in the United States Air Force and was put into service as a medical records technician.[7]:15 He eventually rose to the rank of master sergeant and served as the first sergeant of the U.S. Air Force Clinic at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska,[8][9] where he first saw the snow and mountains that later became recurring themes in his artwork. He developed his quick-painting technique to create art for sale during brief daily work breaks.[9] Having held military positions that required him to be, in his own words, "tough" and "mean", "the guy who makes you scrub the latrine, the guy who makes you make your bed, the guy who screams at you for being late to work", Ross decided that if he ever left the military, he would never yell or raise his voice again.

24 hours ago, Birmingham's mayor told protesters that if they stopped trying

to dismantle the confederate monument, he'd have it removed safely within 24 hours.

The city is currently following through on its word,

and the monument will soon be down.

After years of vandalism and calls for its removal, the hulking statue of Philadelphia’s late mayor and police commissioner Frank Rizzo was removed Tuesday by the city. Rizzo’s political career and heavy-handed police tactics in the late 1960s and ’70s were seen as racially polarizing and unfairly targeted minorities and people of color.

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, who ordered the statue’s removal late Tuesday night, called it a “deplorable monument to racism, bigotry, and police brutality for members of the Black community, the LGBTQ community, and many others.”

“The treatment of these communities under Mr. Rizzo’s leadership was among the worst periods in Philadelphia’s history,” Kenney said in a statement. “The battle for equal rights and justice is still being fought decades later, and our city is still working to erase that legacy.”

So, the same day that DC is being occupied by federal forces... Richmond is moving ahead with the removal of a Robert E. Lee statue.

Everyone from the 1860s is mystified.

Hopefully we can now teach white boys that they were born as problems and need to condone for their sins of their gender and skin color.

That would certainly be progress

Damn cool scene in Lincoln, Nebraska this afternoon. LPD & community leaders sat down and drafted an agreement to "Hold Cops Accountable."

Once signed - Cupid Shuffle.

This the American content I’m here for.

Seems like some in the military, now openly being encouraged by

respected former commanders, have decided they will not takeover America

for President Trump. A possible tipping point.

Certainly would have been, had it gone the other way.
