GTD 10/14/22: Braves @ Philthies - NLDS Game 3

I would think with small left field in philly, Ozuna could handle things and we could get Contreras in line-up.

Fingers crossed on playoff Eddie coming to life, I can't take any more 0 for games from him. Including NY we've basically played 5 playoff games, he doesn't have a hit and has basically two errors and zero range.

The positive is we can limit him to 1-2 at bats with the long bench and PH Contreras in a big spot. Grossman and Heredia can come in to play LF after the PH.

I have no idea what to expect from Strider today, but I think it's either going to be 101 mph dominance for 2-3 innings, or a complete meltdown.

Who is going to pitch bulk after Strider? Odorizzi once through the lineup?

If he gives you 3 or close to it, don't you have to go directly to McHugh? Pitching Odorizzi is just asking for it.

I think we try to get 5 combined out of Strider and McHugh. Whatever they can't do (or can) Lee gets you through 6.

That's the plan with a lead or behind by a run or two.

If we get get behind big then its an Odorizzi/Stephens game.

This is probably all correct.

“Spencer Strider felt discomfort in his oblique during pre-game warmups and will not start game 3. Jake Odorizzi will be starting in his place.”

Wow.

You guys may be right about Strider only pitching 2-3 but Snitker just said “in his head he can pitch 9… I talked with him this morning and he’s planning on going 9.”

If he’s on he will pitch 5+

He’s been pitching bullpens and we don’t know what his arm strength is like

Coors Light time Mississippi!!!
Let’s ROCK.
