Pretending that guns are the reason is strictly a political viewpoint.

Mental illness is what needs to be studied in addition to the inpacts of social media.

Progression, like evolution, should happen over long periods of time so its not noticeable to the population. When large shifts take place it causes disturbances and these shootings are a symptom of that.

If gun violence was really an issue there would be tens of posts daily in this thread.
 
They made sure they said "white" male.

But neglect when two to five people killed in Chicago by black males daily but even more weekly since two are more considered a mass shooting.

Blacks rarely commit atrocities like this unless gang or drug related.

They are not mentally effed up like those that are not white.

I dont want to give white people an excuse of "mental illness". This **** is bad and it needs to stop.

It is mental illness. They turn on the tv and every channel has some guys name and photo all over and they think they’ll
Be popular if they do it.



The Media should never publish a photo or name the person.

I think that’s more likely a function of the fact that such shootings are common enough that we’re fairly desensitized to their occurrence, so unless it’s a high-profile place or a high fatality count, it tends to get lost in the news cycle. This is certainly a sad commentary. I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make, but I’d stick with my original statement.

One of those issues is the amount of hate that is directed towards white males. If youre serious about figuring out whats happening you wont avoid this truth.

I really can’t believe you guys are going with this.

I mean, if you squint at that I’m sure it could be considered kind of shorthand for some real reasons for radicalization, but what it really sounds to me like you’re saying is that some young white men are becoming toxic extremism-polluted mass murderers because they feel threatened by some social critiques, most of which have no ability to impact their lives in a meaningful way.

In addition to being some real snowflake ****, it’s victim-blaming of epic proportions. So, in the same way that accelerated racism was Obama’s fault, the ultimate expression of toxic masculinity is the fault of people who criticize toxic masculinity. That’s some classic abuser stuff—“look what you made me do.”

Is this white supremacy or just radicalization in general? The root cause of all of this is mental illness/social media/radical paradigm shift in how humans have lived for tens of thousands of years.
 
i will bet the farm they have mentally ill in Japan too
England, Denmark, Germany
or anywhere else in the world for that matter.

We have already seen what America looks like with semi-automatic AND automatic rifles prior to the internet and radical social changes.

Consider the results of that world when trying to pin this on 'guns'.

They are shootings

with guns --- going out on a limb here but thinking a person that shoots mass numbers of people be it in a suburban mall or a bar room in South Side Chicago is suffering

Focus will be that it was a person with in all likelihood an illness that had access to weapons of war to ease his frustrations.

Why didn't shootings like this happen 30 years ago when weapons were more easily accessible?

You are focusing on the wrong things because of your partisan politics.
