Gun Violence

You could stop and frisk folks that appear more likely to commit crimes but like we know that will get you cancelled instead. You know like the civil rights soldier Biden put in place

Dont they arrest like 2% of people they stop and frisk? Seems like the opposite of "about to commit a crime" and more like "ability to stop anyone they want". I only support stop and frisk of lawmakers.

No amount of gun control or gun laws will have any effect on inner city crime

Banning guns entirely followed by 10 years of heavy focus on enforcement in the entire country would cut back on 99.5% of gun violence. The other solution would be to let police turn cities into police states where they can do whatever the want and it will also significantly reduce gun violence. I would estimate that could cut gun violence 60% or so. Now I am not endorsing either of those options but that's the options we have from both sides.

the 3rd option is making the manufacturers and dealers of weapons liable

a 4th option is to tax ammunition and accessories to high heaven

Taxing ammunition’s does absolutely nothing to the person who is about to commit a crime. All it does is punish us legal firearm owners who like to go to the range to practice.

Do t you guys know, all laws are pointless and even though we are the only country that deals with this issue

There’s no way to fix it

Hold manufacturers liable for what exactly? Selling guns to people legally able to buy them? I dont see how that would be constitutional, not that banning guns was an idea that is constitutional either. I would counter that its the governments war on drugs that created the black market which if lucrative enough will ALWAYS lead to violence. I would also counter that the government has artificially created a mental health crisis with mass incarceration. A person who has spent time in prison is like 100x more likely to be involved in gun violence. We not only create mental health issues by incarcerating them but we give them a yellow star on their record that gives them severely reduced education and employment opportunities. All things that significantly increase the risk they are involved in gun violence.

I dont know how taxing ammunition would reduce anything. You are just creating another black market. And what does that lead to?

88 shot and 14 killed since Friday in Chicago

I’m sure it’ll be talked about on the media

Thank god you’re on the ground in Chicago to inform of us of these shootings

Cause you obviously aren’t getting this info from the media

Killed with guns ?

Killed by people with no steady home life that can handle adult society without lashing out with life ending violence.

It’s a real culture issue to pick up a gun to end someone’s life over ... well most anything other than a life threatening occurrence. But then again , there is a large segment of society that picks up a gun when they feel “disrespected” or pretty much anything else.

And the circle continues.

Gotta fix the home first. But we won’t. You know that as well as I. You see it too, but hell it’s not the fix you want. You want someone else to fix it for us in the court system.

Averted gazes and all that.

Per capita basis you are more likely to get shot in Atlanta than Chicago from stats in May.

Progress!

Per capita I’m more likely to be shot and killed in the so called greatest country in the world as compared to any other western country in the world

And if I don’t die from it, I get the pleasure of having to be in debt from it too cause we are the only western country that has private healthcare

So, no progress at all
