Gun Violence

Can you in your own words describe why a manufacturer should be held liable for the misuse of their product?

And would you support this across all manufacturers? Why or why not?

I don't jump thru your hoops.

Dig back in this thread. There are plenty of my " own words" if you are truly curious

sure, sure

you know what you believe but you can't articulate why.

isn't it a little humiliating to not be able to justify your own thoughts?

If I were to beat someone to death with a shovel, should the shovel manufacturer be liable?

How about the car manufacturer if I drove my car through a parade?

Do your homework.
You are misrepresenting the suit.
I linked the who what, when's where's

and why's.

Nothing to do with shovels, ropes, cars or broken beer bottles.

If you can dig a hole with a gun you'd have an interesting point.

Guns do one thing, shoot bullets. They don't do anything else.

That being said, I don't believe manufacturers should be held liable unless they're being reckless in their advertising, advisements, etc. The real villains are the lobbyists anyway. NRA is who they should be going after.

Incredibly, guns have been used to shoot things other than humans for hundreds of years now. Much like cars and shovels have other uses.

But they only shoot things. Shovels dig holes. Cars are propelled transportation. A gun is designed to kill and destroy, comparing it to something else isn't really what I would do when trying to make a point.

I mean, go ahead and try to get some venison with a shovel.

I could.

FWIW, I remember when BL said I should learn to shoot a bow and I got to tell him I killed a Pope and Young Whitetail with it and was quite proficient already.

Guns are used for protection.

Hope you're ready for massive increases in rape figures if you get rid of guns.

I mean we could play a cyclical game here of other ways you could kill deer but thanks for proving my point. Guns are instruments who's sole purpose is to inflict death and destruction, unlike a car or shovel. Which was the point that was attempted to be made earlier.

It's crazy how much things have changed. I graduated HS in 1995, and there were no less than 30 trucks in the parking lot with shotguns and rifles in plain sight. Guys would go to straight to school from deer hunting or straight to deer hunting after school. No one freaked out, and no one got shot. What changed?

And this isn't allowed at my old HS now

This is the argument no gun grabbing advocate wants to address.

Columbine and 9/11 happened. Granted the latter may not have effected your high school as much as I assume you are in the south, but I know security measures tightened around me after that. But COlumbine is the big one.

What changed is that a bunch of kids have been shot in schools. I’m not anti-gun, but I do agree in things like gun permits and not having guns in schools.
