Unfortunately for the Indians, they know their window of contention won't last forever, and to me this is them attempting to cash in and give it another shot before it closes. Sure, it likely will shorten things in the long term, but if they're going to win a title they've got to go for it. Plus Miller is set to be a free agent.

In my opinion, we're not too different than a team like the Indians, who are a middle market team and has to go through rebuilds and play with windows of contention.
