Yes, I'm one of the "ye olde classic old-timers club," but it's really a shame in some (but not all) ways that there wasn't greater coverage in the era of Aaron, Mays, Mantle, Williams, and others. The game has changed a lot, but I'm convinced these guys would have flourished in any era. Henry Aaron used to glide on the field. I'm hard pressed to find a comparable player in today's game in terms of style, because Aaron's game was so buttoned-down that his absolute greatness flew below the radar. He made an extremely difficult game look easy and he'd be the first to contend that baseball isn't easy.
