It wasn't close because nobody actually tried to do anything. When the guys who supposedly wanted to commit sedition went out of their way to obey DC's gun laws that should have told you something. The fact that everybody went home afterward and even a year after the event no one tried to overthrow the government. That should tell you something.

Yep. To protect democracy we must jail our opponents and/or move them from the ballots. We must also work with social media to censor information that could be a danger to our democracy.
