Hart out

I had to laugh. The message cuts off with Hart commending McGuirk for his "passion." Passion for what? The bottom line is the only thing I can think McGuirk has any passion for.

The fact you get the bulk of your baseball insights listening to XM talk shows while driving between trailer park open houses explains everything.

You keep bringing up trailer parks but you're the only person here that acts like trailer trash.

Hart was quoted earlier this week as saying he was still in baseball operations, contradicting what McGuirk had said at the press conference announcing the hiring of Anthopoulos. I guess there is no longer any confusion.

Whenever I think of John Hart, my mind wanders to former San Francisco Giant 3B the late Jim Ray Hart. Jim Ray was born in Hookerton, North Carolina, which has to be the coolest name for a town I have ever heard.

lol just a straight clown show. Stand up if you knew Hart was going to be a disaster. Few people are standing...

Remain standing if you also said Coppy was also going to be a disaster.

Seriously middle of nowhere. 409 residents - not too awfully far from where the Mudcats play.

This seems like offering Hart a more gracious exit than getting fired along with Coppy. Hart has a lot of friends in high places around baseball (including with the Braves). I can see him getting some cover from that. The Braves were not going to let him stay on after what happened but let him keep his dignity in his departure.

They let the guy who was not directly implicated run the show until they found his replacement. He was just as out as Coppy from the beginning.

They gave him a face saving way out for sure though.

I don't think Coppy was a disaster, but what I really thought was the whole process of replacing Wren was stupid. All he wanted to do was fire Fredi, which wound up happening anyway. All the bluster in the post Wren firing days was about how he chased all these great minds away and hyping the system and the best we have to show for the system were guys signed under Wren's tenure. And the Braves didn't violate any major international rules to sign Acuna or Albies.
