It is a gigantic leap defining the stretching of the US budgeting process for disaster relief as "stealing."

Then we should be raising taxez.

This country is falling apart.
Literally -- for lack of spending

Tax cuts for the sake of tax cuts and austerity are failed policies.

There is no reasonable argument that the Trump tax cuts do anything, but prop up those that are already propped up
Historically there is no argument that the Bush tax cuts were in any way a success. Except for propping up those that were already propped up

Hoarder gonna hoard

Lack of spending? Are you kidding me?

Are you actually kidding me?

We've never spent more.

And yet, it seems things don't get better.

Interesting, huh?

I don't see how the Gulf of Mexico's sea life is going to survive all this pollution. One of the biggest oil refineries in the world is at Baytown and there are greasy oil companies all up and down that coastline.

Yeah. After HS I worked on Exxon towboats and oil barges for a couple of years, much of that time around Baytown, and all of it on the water. On the towboats we always had to be hyper-vigilant about oil spills. Even though the water was already highly polluted (early 80's), one cup of oil in the water would be a major infraction with multiple Coast Guard documents and conversations.

It's heart wrenching to imagine how much grease, oil gunk and chemical are gonna be sucked out into the Gulf.

The Gulf will survive but but there has been a long lasting impact on the environment and this time won't be any different. Each time the system is shocked, the recovery is slower and weaker.

The Gulf of Mexico used to be like healing water. Any cuts or skin problems you had would be cleared up by swimming in those waters. It's gonna be so sad if we ruin it, especially considering it could've been preserved with a little more care and attention.

Thankfully there weren't cops around to stop the people rescuing people in my neighborhood. Really glad this pricks house flooded.
